For this issue of Sewing Life Magazine, I designed a relatively easy-to-sew trench coat.
It has all the details such as back flap, shoulder straps, sleeve belts, a wide belt, and tons of buttons! It is unlined, and the seams are finished with bias tape.
Choose between single welt inseam pockets, or make customized patch pocket, with or without pleats.
The coat has princess seams, and that makes it quite simple to fit for size. You can see more about the fitting process in the big fitting article on page 34 of the magazine.
The trench coat was designed for medium to heavy-weight fabric such as cotton twill, canvas, oil-skin, or similar fabric.
The pattern is in size 34 - 54.
The magazine has articles on fitting and styling your trench coat as well as plenty of articles showing you how to sew your coat step-by-step.
